Okay the Republican Convention is in the bag and the Democrats are on deck. Let me give my impressions so far.
I was really into the Republican Convention. I wanted to hear their plans and ideas just because I am open to anything that will create a better life for me and my family. I have to say I feel a little slighted in many ways because I didn’t feel like when the convention was over I learned any more about a plan to save America than I already knew.
In essence Romney only promised “to have a plan.” He promised to create 12 million jobs but he didn’t really say how he was going to create them. Will they be vacated by the 12 million undocumented immigrants he plans on deporting? What would have been great would have been insight on how you create jobs without money. This one still has me baffled.
Chris Christie talked about himself and the hard truths that the people are facing. Christie was supposed to be the homerun hitter and he ended up hitting a solo home run as he only had positive thoughts for himself.
As for Paul “I wouldn’t know the truth if it hit me in the face” Ryan…. He just lied to us about everything from his plan to “voucherize” Medicare, and his fiscal record that shows he voted for two tax cuts, two wars, and a prescription drug giveaway to the drug companies, all unpaid for.
I really lost my focus when Clint Eastwood came out and talked to an empty chair. Somewhere Ronald Reagan had to be thinking to himself… “Have we really come to this?”
I did see some promise in the party.. Rubio is a future GOP star. He is genuine and I think he will be equipped to be the top dog in 2016. Problem will be his race and the acceptance by many southerners in the Grand Old Party.
Now I guess I will listen to the Democrat rhetoric and decide if it’s going any where this week. One thing is for sure I don’t want more of the same. I just want more! I don’t want to see any humanizing of candidates by having them talk about their losses. I want to hear about a plan to make America better.
