Sacrifice For The Greater Good

Within our hearts we find reasons to want to own things. Whether its property, or pieces of another person, we want what we want and will live by any means of collecting it. Sometimes we have to let go of things that we hold dear to us to make room for the unexpected or what we are working for. It may cost us opportunities but the reality of change and persistence will make life easier in the end.

Hard work is extremely important. People put in a lot of time and effort to make sure they can provide adequately. If you’re a person that loves to travel or you have relationships that pull you in different directions, work will often keep you grounded. Work may ground you, but sometimes it may feel like all you do is work.

The past few months work has dropped to less than normal but there is still a lot to get accomplished. It may seem strenuous at times but if you love doing what you do, it doesn’t always feel like work.

This it the point in the story where people start to give thanks and praise but not everyone subscribes to that rationale.

Some of us subscribe to a world of karma. They believe the universe finds a way to provide us with what we need. This doesn’t mean that they are not believers in the higher beings but they believe what we do and how we do it will give us perspective and opportunities in life.

Last year things were not that good. Rocky relationship status, lost perspective, and far too much time focused on things that didn’t matter consumed too much time and energy. Essentially when that happens we lose focus on the things that give us the most joy. Eventually chaos and disorder will lead to a period of extreme frustration. Ironically with frustration, the worst will happen. A great opportunity was lost because a sacrifice for the greater good was made. The situation could have been easily resolved by letting it handle itself but sometimes we choose to take the high road. That choice usually will cost you something that you love with a passion but in your mind you’re doing it because essentially it was the better route to take.

You’d like to think that the person would have done the same for you, but you never really know what lies ahead for you when someone has their back against the wall. Remembering all of the bad things in life that have been done to people allows us to make more comprehensive decisions. When we have the opportunity to do good, we should try to make the sacrifice for the greater good. Evaluating the situation, the decisions that were made were a direct result of retaliation but consequentially they should have known better.

It’s easy to place the blame on people for things that they do but we very rarely see our part in how the process plays out. When you bring hurt or cause it, you learn a lot about yourself. If you feel nothing from it you are brutal and if you feel no remorse for your actions and how you acted, you are a horrible person.

Now that the smoke has cleared and everything has been taken care of, ask yourself did you do the right thing. After reflection, choosing people over circumstance is a dangerous road to travel. This situation has improved but the tarnish will never be fully polished the way it was before. We can make amends with the friendship and the opportunity lost may eventually find it’s way back but with provisions. Life has a funny way of humbling us. People make us do things that we wouldn’t normally do.

Today lets focus on proving that we have the ability to keep the focus and be the person that we strive to be. Every day, remind those that you love and care for that they are important and that you will be a better person this time around. Building new bridges and earning the respect of those people who matter the most to you should be paramount.

Once opportunities have emerged and you have everything that you are working towards when it comes to family and friends, strive to be a person that can be depended upon and trustworthy. Sometimes the sacrifices that you make for the greater good allow the universe to deliver what you need exactly when you need it. Let’s hope for the best and claim it.
